PHRF Handicap Fleets
Handicap boats must have a current PHRF-LO certificate and be a member of a recognized yacht club.
Typically we have had 3 NFS fleets and 3 FS fleets. Fleet splits will be determined at the discretion of the regatta committee and posted on the Official Notice Board no later than Wednesday August 16th
One-design Fleets
One Design boats should hold valid class measurement certificates for their fleet and be a member of a recognized yacht club.
In past years, the OC Open Regatta has had very competitve fleet for the Etchells and Shark class sailboats. We are hoping to continue this again this year.
Level Fleet(s)
2024 had the first ever "Level Fleet". We are hoping to be able to offer this again in 2025.
If we have enough similarly rated boats (+/- 5pts approx.) we will present the opportunity for a level fleet.
Last year was an incredibly exciting Level fleet with extremely close competition.
Distance Race Fleet
With great success and excitement in last years distance race, we are going to build on that success. The event is gather the attention of sailors looking for the excitement of racing in a somewhat more relax environment.
Our goat is to provide a fun competition in a single race lasting around 3.5-4 hours.
It's obvious to us that we're on to something good. The fleet is going fast.
It should be awesome!
